Elliot's Dream

In Elliot's dream, it was on the wrong side to be the sun. Glowing just beneath treetop level, the new light pulsed and ebbed against a crisp, near cobalt-blue sky, certainly alive in some manner, charged with an energy that may come from light years away, warping the folds of space in open daylight, opposite high noon's thin shadow, another orb hanging suspended in time, unnamed, so what exactly is it? Could it be, then, some unseen light from within? By the time Elliot reaches the forest's edge, the light vanishes into a mystery of tangled branches and leaves.
