Nick's Dream
In mail carrier Nick's dream, it's near the end of his shift, only a few bundles left, one more street.
His anticipation grows leaving the final apartment building, holdiing a pale blue envelope.
Addressed "Honey" in familiar longhand, painfully beautiful to see, no stamp or postmark, but there's no mystery: it's from Nick's beloved wife Naomi, gone to God one long year past.
In the deep safety of mindful sleep, she handwrites to him: "It's beyond imagining, this missing you, yet seeing you. Just know we'll be together again, it's certain, so be at peace till then. I can say no more for now." In Nick's dream he feels her light's reassuring embrace.
